2004 – Miss TG kicks off at The Portland Inn in Hove. 90 guests
watch more than 25 tgirls compete for the titles of Miss TG, Miss
Mature, Miss Corset and best costume. Judges include Pandora de Pledge…
and entertainment comes from Lynn Daniels. London drag performer Miss
Debenoir is crowed Queen for a night.
2005
– Moving to a dedicated performance venue provides extra accomodation
for the audience and increased gravitas to the proceedings. This time
the ‘entertainment’ including the Drag Olympics as the
audience found themselves dragged up and surrounded by competing tgirls
in an anarchic, and faintly ridiculous, contest. This time the judges,
who include Martine Rose (of Roses and Repartee fame), find in favour
of Melissa Lilac from Manchester
